Densi Commits to the Environment and Intellectual Property Rights
Densi marks its 37th year anniversary with a commitment to remanufactured products and premium OEM alternatives.
Montreal—April 5, 2016— Densi Corporation, a leading provider of a full range of high quality consumable imaging supplies, including toner, cartridges, ink and parts for large copier, high volume network printers and MFPs focuses on the future of the imaging industry with remanufactured products and select OEM grade alternatives
With its long history in the Imaging Industry, significant advances in technology and an increasing desire for high quality, environmentally sustainable, and 100% IP safe products, Densi is well positioned to make a difference and maintain its leadership role.
“The future of the imaging industry is in products that respect the Intellectual Property Rights of others, and the environment. The remanufactured Lexmark Compliant products we now carry are a prime example—they offer exceptional quality, reliability and performance. They are also IP safe, environmentally sustainable, and protect you from unintentionally using counterfeit products,” said Eric Melka, Densi’s CEO. “With escalating concern over the environment and a rising number of seizure orders for patent infringement, the future of the imaging industry is clearly shifting towards high quality and IP safe remanufactured products, and Densi along with other leaders in the industry, are committed to making the change.
As reported in The Recycler--a trade publication for the toner and inkjet remanufacturing industry--in just the first ten weeks of 2016, reports of at least 23 seizure-and-forfeiture orders were issued in North America to aftermarket companies, who were cited for violations of previously issued General Exclusion Orders handed down by the International Trade Commission. This, following the 60 or more cases issued in 2015.
Beyond global trends in patent enforcement is the significant impact that consumable imaging supplies have on the environment. In North America alone over 350 million cartridges end up in landfills per year. Densi is committed to help reduce the millions of pounds of waste with remanufactured product lines that reuse OEM cores, and by recycling end of life cartridges.
“Densi’s 37 year history is a testament to its ability to adapt to advances and changes within the imaging industry to help our customers come out ahead”, added Melka. “We will continue to supply our customers best of breed and IP safe new compatible products, however moving forward the company will increasingly focus on expanding its offering of high-end and value oriented remanufactured product lines.”
Over its long history, Densi has been committed to offering to its customers only high quality products, at competitive prices that are readily available upon demand.
